Does existence of God mean anything for science? It is well-known that the existence of God cannot be empirically proven, because all empirical proofs (what we can see, touch, taste, hear and smell) pertain to matter. To see God, the religionist claims, one must develop alternate forms of perception. But, the empiricist argues: how do I know that God indeed exists before I make the attempts to develop alternate forms of perception? Sankhya View of RealityImagine there is a laptop computer that runs a word processor, spreadsheet, music player, video games and other kinds of programs. When you shutdown the computer, none of these can be seen or used. So, when the computer is off, do the programs exist? What is the nature of their existence?
Classification of Species – Mind over MatterDarwin's methods of classifying species are based on material notions that predate the development of quantum theory. Atomic theory is important for biology because it changes classical ways in which we distinguish objects. Classically, we thought that the identity of an object is fixed. Quantum theory tells us that an object's identity depends upon other objects. When matter itself is treated in a mind-like manner – as present quantum theory entails – a new way of classifying species must be developed. The old ideas about evolution of species must then change substantially.
The Meaning of Libet’s ExperimentsBenjamin Libet’s experiments in neuroscience are probably the most debated piece of work in this nearly 40 year old area. The controversial piece of Libet’s work is where he shows that the neurological activity precedes the conscious reporting of a freewill decision by a subject. Libet’s work has been used by materialists to argue that freewill is an illusion – an afterthought we apply to brain activity. In actuality, materialists claim, all actions are physically determined, although we tend to give volitional interpretation to them. Why This Website? This site is intended not just to infomercialize the book (Vedic Creationism), but also to host articles and discussions around the topic of Vedic Creationism.
